Upper Saddle River is a unique close knit community offering many recreational activities to their residents. The USR library offers varies activities for ages starting from 6 months all the way up. The library is centrally located throughout the town and provides many unique services unlike any in the surrounding towns. The town has one elementary school, one middle school, and the high school is shared by four of the neighboring towns and has been ranked amongst the top ten in the state of New Jersey. Upper Saddle River school system offers full-day kindergarten which appeals to many working parents and has an amazing after-care program. The town also has a beautiful child care center (Rodie Child Care) conveniently located off of Route 17 and is run by the YWCA of Bergen County and is open to children from six weeks to age six. Upper Saddle River has two parks, Lyons and Hess. Both parks have beautiful playgrounds and fields for all types of sports i.e., soccer, baseball, and lacrosse. If you are one of the lucky few, Upper Saddle River has a quaint lake where only 1,000 residents may take advantage of. Anona Lake offers a club house, tennis courts, and of course a lake to swim in on those hot summer days. Upper Saddle River has many historical homes located throughout the town. Lot sizes in town are zoned for one-acre. Home prices start in the high $300,000 to the multi-million dollar range.
